Step Up to the Style Leader: The ’40 DeSoto Luxury Sensation

Pop the hood, feast your eyes on this masterclass layout, and prepare to be floored! Wrapped edge-to-edge around this premium ceramic mug is the historic print marketing artwork from the official 1940 DeSoto factory showroom brochure. Famous for introducing the ultimate pre-war styling revolution—celebrated across America as the nation’s premier “Style Leader”—this collector’s print captures the exact moment Mopar built an airtight argument for stepping up to the refined S-7 De Luxe or top-tier S-7 Custom lineup. It details pioneering comfort upgrades like independent front suspension and an integrated trunk, forever rescuing motorists from plain, uninspired vintage transit boxes.

This custom layout honors the distinct, beautifully sculpted features of the historic Series S-7 fleet:

- The Streamlined Art-Deco Silhouette: The visuals celebrate the breathtaking, wind-carved lines of the magnificent 1940 restyle. It perfectly highlights the imposing, multi-slat chrome waterfall front grille, integrated tear-drop headlamps sweeping smoothly into the front fenders, sleek pontoon styling, and the elegant fastback-style S-7S Sedan or S-7C Coupe rooflines that commanded absolute authority on the pre-war avenues.
- The High-Style Floating Ride Cabin: The artwork details a luxurious interior configuration engineered to turn a cross-country trek into an absolute joy. It brings back memories of deep-pleated premium wool upholstery, a stunning faux-woodgrain instrument panel cluster featuring a central clock option box, and the pioneering Handy-Shift steering column gear selector that cleared out the floorboards for maximum legroom.
- The Dependable Chrysler-Bred Powerplant: The print perfectly preserves the factory blueprints and engineering specs that gave this luxury cruiser its smooth mechanical backbone. It proudly spotlights the ultra-reliable, high-compression 228.1 cubic inch L-head inline six-cylinder engine, optimized with an automatic choke, full-pressure lubrication, and an innovative Fluid Drive transmission option box engineered to power past any rival on the highway without shifting gears.

High-Performance Bench Specs

Just like a specialized factory-built muscle machine, this enthusiast-grade hardware is built to standard specifications:

- Fuel Capacity: Standard 11 oz chassis, optimized to handle your high-octane morning java or afternoon tea.
- Chassis Blueprints: Stands a precise 3.8″ (9.6 cm) high with a comfortable 3.2″ (8.2 cm) diameter.
- Premium Quality: Sturdy, high-grade ceramic casting featuring a lead and BPA-free material blend. The vibrant, glossy finish makes the historical brochure layouts, fine print arguments, and retro vehicle illustrations pop with high-contrast color.
